| Philippine Eagle (also known as a monkey-eating eagle), declared as the national bird, can be seen on the front and the Banaue Rice Terraces, which are carved into the mountains and are frequently called the "Eighth Wonder of the World" were commonly thought to be built with minimal equipment, largely by hand, on the back. The terraces are located approximately 1500 metres (5000 ft) above sea level and are fed by an ancient irrigation system from the rainforests above. |
